dinner

I was so worn out and tired Friday night I didn't want to cook anything, I was content to just eat cookies. But Chris stir-fried some vegetables and we ate that instead. Good man. Zucchini, orange pepper, mung bean sprouts, enoki mushrooms

snack

My snack this afternoon was hummus and cucumber spears. I love LOVE love Trader Joe's hummus in most flavors. This flavor is "Mediterranean."

lunch

Lunch today is zucchini pasta with raw marinara sauce (recipe from loveveggiesandyoga.com), plus fennel with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. With carrot juice to drink.

Fennel has lots of great properties and helps with all sorts of things. I've been trying eat it because I am nursing and it is a galactogogue. Read all about it here: http://www.herbwisdom.com/herb-fennel.html

liquid breakfast

I had a company meeting this morning so I didn't have time for a breakfast smoothie (what I really wanted). Instead I had way too much liquid, in the form of orange juice, almond milk and a caramel latte, which only made me have to pee and the meeting was 2 hours long. Oy! Also, had an egg and cheese on ciabatta at Panera. Not exactly low calorie or super nutritious... At least it's Friday and lunch is lots of veggies, followed by a snack of more vegetation. So stay tuned!

snack

Nori wraps stuffed with Gingery Sunflower Seed Pate (recipe from choosingraw.com

lunch

Massaged kale salad (recipe from choosingraw.com) with added cucumber slices, yellow pepper, enoki mushrooms, carrot, and mung bean sprouts. Also, carrot juice. The Bolthouse Farms one is awesome- $5 for a half gallon. Not too shabby considering it is JUST juice, nothing added, and I don't have to clean a juicer.

breakfast

Lime oat pudding with chocolate shavings, courtesy of the husband :)
